Austin Bamboo Inc Paper Lanterns <p>The bamboo framework is pegged with smaller poles inserted into larger ones. We have two designs using different types of Japanese paper.<br>The taller one is made with Haku Un Washi (white cloud Japanese paper) which is usually used for shoji sliding screens and is 3-4 times as strong as a similar weight of tissue paper.<br>The shorter one is made with un ryu washi (cloud dragon Japanese paper) which has silk strings and threads pressed into one side.<br>Both have a platform on the bottom for a candle, oil lamp, or electric light.</p>
